The answer is simple, veterinary businesses, such as Urban PetRx, are not funded by any outside government agencies, non-profit organizations, or donations from the public. As such, our costs are generally a reflection of our expenses and often out of our control. Truth be told, veterinary clinics use the same distributors and laboratories and thus have many similar expenses for medications, supplies, and lab tests. At Urban PetRx, we do everything we can to be honest and fair and keep our costs reasonable.

All Payments are Due at the Time of Service

Collecting payment when services are provided guarantees our ability to keep the hospital stocked with appropriate medications and supplies, well-equipped with necessary diagnostic tools, and staffed with an enthusiastic and passionate team of dedicated employees.

CareCredit
CareCredit is a personal line of credit accepted by several medical providers, including veterinarians, optometrists, and dentists. To apply, you can either log on to www.carecredit.com to fill out an online application, or you may complete an application at our office. You will need your current driver’s license and a debit or credit card with a Mastercard or Visa logo. You will generally know within a few minutes if you qualify for the financing you need.
Scratchpay
Scratchpay provides simple, transparent payment plans for financing costs associated with veterinary care, work, vision, and medical costs–faster and with higher approval rates that won’t affect your credit score. To apply, you can log on to www.scratchpay.com to fill out an online application — simple, friendly payment plans with no surprises.
Pet Insurance
Pet insurance is becoming more popular, and while it doesn’t cover everything, it can be a huge help should your pet suffer an unexpected illness or accident. Brochures from a number of companies are available in our lobby. Every company is different, so it’s a good idea to visit www.PetInsuranceReview.com and compare policies to find the one best suited for you and your pet. Our team is available to answer questions you may have regarding pet insurance and provide you with the necessary documentation to submit a claim to your insurance carrier.
Deposits for Care
Urban PetRx is happy to provide information regarding its services and estimates of accrued and anticipated costs. A deposit may be required for some treatments, surgeries, or hospital care. If the low end of a healthcare estimate exceeds more than $1000, we will require a 50% deposit to begin your pet’s treatment.
